Over the past 8 years, I’ve stacked images created using a DSLR camera, dedicated astronomy camera, and CCD Camera. I have used DeepSkyStacker to align, calibrate and integrate every deep-sky astrophotography image I have ever taken. The latest version of DeepSkyStacker (available March 2023) includes a number of great new features including being able to ‘blink’ your image frames thanks to a stacking panel display that caches the last twenty images displayed.
