Dreams onyx punta cana sunwing1/21/2024 Punta Cana International Airport is conveniently just a 25-mile drive away. The less developed island of Saona is also reachable via car and boat ride. The Pirate Rum Factory and Taino Cave attraction lies only 20 miles away – as does Bavaro Adventure Park, where there’s the opportunity to rope climb, zip line and mountain bike. The celebrated Punta Blanca Golf Club is just under 12 miles away from the hotel. In the immediate vicinity, there’s a local mini-market and restaurant, but most of Punta Cana’s attractions are best reached by car. Located in Uvero Alto, Dreams Onyx Resort & Spa is set on a quiet and picturesque oceanfront. Bright and modern, the resort boasts sleek interiors and a family-friendly atmosphere with six separate pools – including a lazy river, a beautiful beachfront lined with palm trees and an array of water sport activities on offer. Cheers! -Chris Bonniwell, Richmond, VA.Offering a vibrant all-inclusive experience on the north east coast of the Dominican Republic. I hope your experience will be as amazing as ours. They are awesome and we are so pleased to have met everyone here at Dreams Onyx. One day at the pool, it was Javier’s birthday and the staff brought him a beautiful birthday cake to celebrate and he shared his cake with myself and the other guests at the bar. These guys and girls are true industry professionals and make you feel like a friend, not just another guest! ![]() You will never have to leave your chair for a drink or need anything while you are in their care. Their team is outstanding and they have a lot of fun doing what they love.ĭuring my five day stay, they made us feel like we were the only guests there. This gentleman is the gold standard you have been looking for and you will be extremely happy you read this review and took my advice.Īlso, make sure and you go see Javier, Carlos, Nelly, Alejandro and the gang at the Preferred Club Pool. Nelson is absolutely AMAZING! He is extremely professional, courteous and attentive to all of your needs. Please make sure and request ‘Nelson’, as your private concierge/butler. When you do upgrade to the Preferred Club, this allows you to have your own concierge service. This allows you to enjoy more adult and private areas of this amazing resort. ![]() I recommend upgrading to the Preferred Club. The staff here are very friendly, highly attentive and professional. Ten stars to these people who knew how to make us smile each day! Thank you! Juan at the Preferred Guest a la carte (Tamarind)ĭobert, Oscar and Rafael servers in the buffet and other restaurants A special recognition to the following staff for their outstanding service and made our vacation extra special: Staff were great, always very helpful, cheerful and most spoke English fairly well. It was good to not have to return/exchange the towels by a certain time of the day - no one "mans" the towel rack.Įntertainment was pretty good overall as well. ![]() Plus there are no signs to indicate where they are. There are only a few spots to pick up beach towels which, again, you had to walk long distances to find. Slow service on the beach (Preferred guests area) for drinks, few servers. Vendors were a little annoying but it's expected. Pools and beach were great, no complaints. A selection of gluten free desserts and bread would be appreciated though. At the buffet, foods were marked gluten free for the most part but still had to question staff for more information on the ingredients and cooking methods. I have celiac disease and must eat gluten free and there was always something clearly marked on the menus or the servers knew what to offer me or checked with the chef. ![]() However, the restaurants and buffet are all in one area of the resort so no searching for those. Paths are not direct to main areas, unintuitive, you have to go through room buildings to get to different pools or restaurants, etc. The resort overall was very well kept but the only downside is that it is a large resort and not easy to get around. Spacious, clean, very comfortable beds, large shower, 2 sinks, Wifi everywhere (for the most part without issue), plenty of towels, mini bar refreshments and snacks. We were in the Privilege Unlimited rooms in building 7 which seemed recently renovated. Stayed at the Dreams Onyx from December 8-15th, 2023.
